Armed Suspect Scenarios
Training Guide: These scenarios cover standard procedures for responding to armed suspects. Always prioritise public safety and officer safety. Follow all protocols exactly as outlined.

1. Initial Radio Call:
"Badge _____ responding to armed suspect on [ROAD], postcode [XXXX], moving [DIRECTION]. State 5."
2. Officer Approach:
- Firearms drawn until suspect is handcuffed
- Maintain cover and distance
3. Verbal Command:
"ARMED POLICE! DROP THE WEAPON NOW!"
4. Suspect Compliance:
- Suspect raises hands
- Radio: "Badge _____ suspect compliant, hands up, State 7."
5. Arrest & Caution:
- Handcuff suspect
- Read full caution:
"You do not have to say anything, but it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely upon in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence."
- Firearms may now be holstered
- Radio: "Badge _____ suspect arrested and handcuffed, State 7."
6. Section 47 Firearms Act Search:
- Search suspect and belongings for firearms, ammunition, or other items
- Radio: "Badge _____ conducting Section 47 search, State 7."
7. Vehicle Placement (H / F9):
- Grab suspect (Press H) or use F9 → Player → Put in Vehicle
- Place in rear seat
- Ensure fully seated and restrained; weapon secured
- Radio: "Badge _____ suspect secured in vehicle, ready for custody, State 7."

1. Initial Radio Call:
"Badge _____ responding to armed suspect threatening public on [ROAD], postcode [XXXX], heading [DIRECTION]. State 5."
2. Officer Approach:
- Firearms drawn until suspect is handcuffed
- Maintain cover and lethal force authorised if suspect aims weapon
3. Verbal Command:
"ARMED POLICE! DROP THE WEAPON NOW!"
4. Suspect Response:
- Suspect raises hands after order
- Radio: "Badge _____ suspect compliant, hands up, State 7."
5. Arrest & Caution:
- Handcuff suspect immediately
- Read full caution:
"You do not have to say anything, but it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely upon in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence."
- Firearms may now be holstered
- Radio: "Badge _____ suspect arrested and handcuffed, State 7."
6. Section 47 Firearms Act Search:
- Search suspect, clothing, and immediate belongings for weapons or ammunition
- Radio: "Badge _____ conducting Section 47 search, State 7."
7. Vehicle Placement (H / F9):
- Grab suspect (Press H) or use F9 menu
- Place in rear seat
- Ensure fully seated and restrained; weapon secured
- Radio: "Badge _____ suspect secured in vehicle, ready for custody, State 7."

1. Initial Radio Call:
"Badge _____ responding to suspect with melee weapon threatening public on [ROAD], postcode [XXXX], moving [DIRECTION]. State 5."
2. Officer Approach:
- Maintain safe distance
- Draw baton/TASER; firearm optional if threat escalates
- Cover and positioning for safety
3. Verbal Command:
"DROP THE WEAPON NOW! PUT YOUR HANDS UP!"
4. Suspect Response:
- Suspect is aggressive and refuses to drop weapon
- Officer may use TASER / baton to subdue
- Radio: "Badge _____ suspect non-compliant, engaging with force, State 7."
5. Arrest & Caution:
- Handcuff once safe
- Read full caution:
"You do not have to say anything, but it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely upon in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence."
- Holster weapons if threat neutralized
- Radio: "Badge _____ suspect arrested and handcuffed, State 7."
6. Search / Securing Weapon:
- Recover melee weapon
- Search suspect and immediate belongings for illegal items
- Radio: "Badge _____ conducting search, State 7."
7. Vehicle Placement (if transport needed):
- Handcuffed suspect grabbed (Press H) or F9 → Player → Put in Vehicle
- Place in rear seat; ensure weapon secured
- Radio: "Badge _____ suspect secured in vehicle, ready for custody, State 7."

2. Officer Approach:
- Maintain safe distance
- Baton/TASER drawn but threat minimal
3. Verbal Command:
"DROP THE WEAPON NOW! PUT YOUR HANDS UP!"
4. Suspect Response:
- Suspect complies, drops melee weapon, raises hands
- Radio: "Badge _____ suspect compliant, hands up, State 7."
5. Arrest & Caution:
- Handcuff suspect
- Read full caution:
"You do not have to say anything, but it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely upon in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence."
- Holster weapons
- Radio: "Badge _____ suspect arrested and handcuffed, State 7."

1. Initial Radio Call:
"Badge _____ responding to suspect assaulting members of the public on [ROAD], postcode [XXXX], moving [DIRECTION]. State 5."
2. Officer Approach:
- Maintain safe distance
- Draw baton or TASER as threat mitigation
- Firearm optional only if threat escalates
3. Verbal Command:
"STOP! PUT YOUR HANDS UP NOW!"
4. Suspect Response:
- Option A – Compliant:
- Suspect stops attacking, raises hands
- Radio: "Badge _____ suspect compliant, hands up, State 7."
- Option B – Aggressive / Non-Compliant:
- Suspect continues attacking
- Officer may use TASER or baton to safely subdue
- Radio: "Badge _____ suspect non-compliant, using force to stop assault, State 7."
5. Arrest & Caution:
- Handcuff suspect immediately once subdued
- Read full caution immediately:
"You do not have to say anything, but it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely upon in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence."
- Holster weapons if threat neutralized
- Radio: "Badge _____ suspect arrested and handcuffed, State 7."
6. Search / Securing Weapons or Items:
- Search suspect and immediate belongings
- Secure any weapons or illegal items
- Radio: "Badge _____ conducting search, State 7."
7. Vehicle Placement (if transport needed):
- Handcuffed suspect grabbed (Press H) or F9 → Player → Put in Vehicle
- Place in rear seat, ensure fully restrained
- Radio: "Badge _____ suspect secured in vehicle, ready for custody, State 7."

1. Initial Radio Call / Request Backup:
"Badge _____ reporting multiple armed suspects on [ROAD], postcode [XXXX], moving [DIRECTION]. Requesting immediate backup. State 5."
2. Officer Approach:
- Maintain cover and safe distance
- Firearms drawn; no TASER or baton used
- Wait for backup to arrive before advancing
- Position to control line of sight, avoid crossfire
3. Verbal Command:
"ARMED POLICE! DROP YOUR WEAPONS NOW! HANDS UP!"
4. Suspect Response:
- Option A – Compliant:
- Suspects drop weapons, raise hands
- Radio: "Badge _____ suspects compliant, hands up, State 7."
- Option B – Non-Compliant / Aggressive:
- Suspects refuse orders or advance
- Firearms remain drawn until handcuffed
- Radio: "Badge _____ suspect(s) non-compliant, engaging with force, State 7."
5. Arrest & Caution:
- Handcuff each suspect individually once safe
- Read full caution immediately:
"You do not have to say anything, but it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely upon in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence."
- Holster firearms once all suspects are handcuffed
- Radio: "Badge _____ suspects arrested and handcuffed, State 7."

- Search each suspect and immediate belongings for weapons, ammunition, or illegal items
- Radio: "Badge _____ conducting Section 47 search on multiple suspects, State 7."
7. Vehicle Placement (if transport needed):
- Ensure suspects are handcuffed and compliant
- Grab each suspect (Press H) or use F9 → Player → Put in Vehicle
- Place in rear seats, ensure weapons secured
- Radio: "Badge _____ suspects secured in vehicle, ready for custody, State 7."
